Who and what stole our lives. Shortcomings of psychiatry

Let me retract a few topics I have already written about and corresponding to actual events.

I was annoyed when, not long ago, leafing through a selection of photos of patients from mental health clinics (documentation on display at an exhibition), I glimpsed among the various images a young woman with a semi-hidden face, a long dress that covered almost the entire figure lying on the ground in an obstetrical ambulatory posture. Next to her, a female security guard. I recognized my mother in it. She was accustomed to assuming that position because during each medical visit it became necessary to evaluate a malformation from a perspective that considered the feminine inclined towards the masculine.

Published and archived photos of minors with diversity.

Advancement

Approaching the family, investigation into family ties

non-random coincidence of traumatic events, father and son clumsily laryngectomized at a young age and consequent loss of voice

comparison with young female subjects (relatives) and attachment, family closeness

diagnostic confusion

orientation of psychiatry at the time: declared deviance (homosexual tendencies)

need to subject to coercive and corrective treatments

(isolation, electroshock, aversive psychotherapies, heavy drugs and invasive or conditioning methods)

Remarks

Sexual development (DSD) and growth disorders with a hidden medical history can cause trauma and damage to one's self-esteem, psychological stress, and social isolation

Results in symptoms impacting the quality of life (individual who does not recognize himself). Condition that leads to fertility problems. Reproduction denied except with surrogacy. Frequent gestations in precarious health situations.

Coming to the causes of the malformations induced or caused on the embryo, it's fair to say it's no longer denied. Not even denied the possibility of cases where, in environments out of control, family members and vulnerable subjects may have contributed.

Numerous, perhaps too many, explants, transplants, implants. Scenes that have repeated themselves over the years.

Leaving aside the usual family dynamics (Freudian approach), it can be deduced that a large part of the "non conforming" subjects belong to the large group which brings together causes due to malformations at birth and consequential losses.
